Achromatic telescope - The achromatic telescope is a refracting telescope that is constructed to correct for chromatic aberration. When an image passes through a lens, the light is diffracted at different angles for different wavelengths.

Modified Dall-Kirkham telescope - The Modified Dall-Kirkham telescope utilizes an elliptical primary and spherical secondary mirror as in the conventional Dall-Kirkham configuration, but also includes two lens elements ahead of the focal point to improve off-axis image quality. The primary mirror conic constant is slightly different than that for a conventional Dall-Kirkham and must be optimized along with the lenses during design.

Dew shield - A dew shield is a device used to prevent moisture or condensation buildup on the lens of a camera or telescope collector during cool night observations. The dew shield either shades the lens or provides a small about of warm air directly in front of the lens or collector to prevent dew from collecting on the element.

Objective (optics) - An objective in optics is the lens or mirror in a microscope, telescope, camera or other optical instrument, that receives the first light rays from the object being observed. The objective is also called the object lens, object glass, and objective glass.
